Educational Background: Upon graduation from high school, Dennis left the family grain and dairy farm in Logan County and attended Lincoln Jr. College in Lincoln, Illinois. He then enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Upon his discharge from the Navy, he returned to Logan County and was employed as a farm laborer.
Shortly thereafter, Dennis joined the Illinois Army National Guard, attending and graduating from the Illinois Military Academy as a Second Lieutenant. Dennis furthered his civilian education by attending Illinois State University, where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture. He also holds an Associate Degree in Real Estate from Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield.
Professional Experience: Mr. Stoll has been managing farms since 1979. Dennis began his farm management career with Springfield Marine Bank, followed by Bank One, JPMorgan Chase, and now Farmers National Company.
Prior to employment as a farm manager, Dennis was a Vocational Agriculture instructor for the LeRoy School District. He has also completed 25 years of total military service, and retired from the Illinois Army National Guard as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1996.
Dennis has been an Illinois licensed Real Estate Broker since 1984. Dennis attended the Missouri Auction School in 1995, and is a licensed Auctioneer in Illinois & Indiana.
