Farmers
National Commodities, Inc.
A sound marketing program can
make the difference between profit and loss in your farming operation. This is
why commodity marketing is an integral part of any sound management system.
Farmers National Commodities offers marketing services tailored to meet your
specific needs. Jim
Stephens, President of Farmers National Commodities, stays on top of the
market to improve your profits. He develops a marketing plan for you that is
designed to sell your grain as near the top third of the market as possible. He
has a proven track record of marketing grain in the upper 50% of the yearly
price ranges.
Farmers National Commodities offers marketing services tailored to
meet our clients needs. Following is a brief summary of the services available.
The Market
Scene newsletter is available by subscription for $95 per year. The
letter covers the fundamental and technical factors in the corn, soybean, and
wheat markets with articles by John Nelson of Producers Livestock on livestock
markets. Recommendations are directed at pricing production as part of a sound
market plan. We analyze expected market movements over the short term and long
term considering the costs of storage and retained grain ownership following
harvest in our approach to pricing crops. By spreading out sales we take
advantage of attractive cyclical price movements throughout the year and reduce
the risk of price breaks.
Market consultation includes the Market Scene newsletter
as well as access to toll free telephone visits with Farmers National
Commodities in developing and implementing your grain-marketing program as well
as Producers Livestock for cattle and hog marketing. Since knowing when
objectives are met and discipline in taking advantage of attractive price
levels are key components of a sound marketing program, we would make every
effort to keep you
aware of when
these objectives are reached. We will also provide assistance in adapting the
sales to fit your specific farm needs. This would include developing futures
options strategies in your marketing program where applicable. The cost
would be $500 per year. Under this arrangement you would do the actual cash
sales.
Our full marketing package includes the services offered
with the consultation service as well as the discipline needed to make the
program work. We would get the information regarding production on your farm as
well as adjust projected yields throughout the year. We would make forward
sales and cash sales when objectives are met as well as implement the use of
options when appropriate in your marketing program. As with any program, you as
the client would determine the limit of your involvement in the program as well
as it's direction and objectives. The cost of full service is based on 2
cents per bushel for corn, wheat, and milo, 4 cents per bushel for soybeans
with a minimum annual cost of $750 as part of this fee. If options are used there may be a handling charge
assessed by the Brokerage firm handling the options position.
